DENIED ACCESS TO PARKS, TRAILS, AND BEACHES

Linda Parks has always had a choice! She chose to govern for Sacramento, not Ventura county.

Linda Parks made terrible decisions. Read the science, do the math, ask the questions, challenge the results! Sign the petition!

The CDC places Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in the same "Urban Rural Code": Medium Metro. The U.S. Census shows Santa Barbara County with half the population of Ventura County. Both counties have the same 99.89% COVID-19 SURVIVAL RATE! The percentage is UNCHANGED for over a year.

Ventura and Santa Barbara county officials had access to the same information when they made decisions about closing parks, trails, and beaches. Why did Ventura SHUT DOWN but Santa Barbara opened?!?

In June 2020 just before the July 4th holiday weekend, Sacramento announced it was closing parks, trails, and beaches. Like clockwork, Ventura County did the same thing because, “COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to increase in Ventura County and throughout the State. It’s important that people do not gather to prevent further spread...”

Ventura and Los Angeles counties did Sacramento's bidding. Santa Barbara County CHOSE to keep its beaches open! The Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors did not do what Sacramento demanded, but Linda Parks and her Supervisor colleagues did exactly what Sacramento said!

That is NOT leadership. Once again, Linda Parks made governing decisions FOR Sacramento, NOT for Ventura County!

Look at the picture and caption below from August 2020. Trails STILL CLOSED, "...to stave off potentially unsafe crowding conditions amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic." What crowding!!! Linda Parks should NOT govern if for no other reason but she has NO COMMON SENSE!
